My friend gave me a fat PS2 and 20 games that suck. I'm going to soft mod the memory card to play games off a flash drive. Battlefront 2 and Barbarian are the only good ones I've seen. At least the PS2 makes my Mortal Kombat Trilogy disc work. It never worked on PS1.

There are plenty of PS2 games I like--I'm a huge Grand Theft Auto fan, for one, but if I were going from new consoles to playing PS2 games for the first time I'd probably find them less satisfying.

It's not that I'm going from a newer system back to PS2, it's that I prefer 2D retro games. Most games with 3D graphics aren't as fun and don't look good to me, even the newest games.

PS2 was probably one of my least played consoles but I can still remember that evening going into Game and getting GTA3 and my whole life changed, didn't know much about the game, just a bit of buzz but it just blew me away, as did all the other GTA's/Stories. Besides the GTA's I've been trying to think of the other great PS2 games I've played and here are some www.complex.com/pop-culture/2014/04/the-50-best-ps2-games-ever/shadow-of-the-colossusPlayed 1, 6, 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 25, 30, 40, 42, 48 Loads of great ones there I missed out on. 10. Resident Evil 4 is one of the greatest games every made

Interesting . . . I can't say that I'm a fan of 2D retro games, really. I'm a fan of 3D retro games, though--pinball. But most of the time now I play pinball on consoles instead. ;-) There are a couple really good pinball collections for modern consoles.

It has over 100 tables total now, and they're all extremely accurate recreations of real-world machines. The other great collection is Pinball FX2/3 (it was 2, it's moved on to 3), which is also over 100 tables now, but fantasy tables . . . which allows for a lot more elaborate effects/gameplay. Both are great for different reasons.

There are a ton of great titles on The PS2. There's a lot of bad ones too. It's one of the best selling systems of all time so there's a wide verity of games that was released on the console.

Yeah, I like King of Fighters. Thanks for that useful link. After looking at every PS2 title I also found "Castlevania:Lament of Innocence", "Drakengard" and "Ghost Rider" to my liking.

...it seems that site forgot to include "Underworld:The Eternal War." That looks like another good game.
