Yeah, that was made completely obvious by the question - "Too serious for you"? Feminism is considered a serious topic, so yeah it fits. Are you being dumb on purpose?

I'm three episodes in, and so far it's great, equal to season one.
Updated:
I'm now seven episodes in, and I have to say that I think I might be enjoying this better than season one...sure there's no Kilgrave, but the storyline is very compelling and doesn't meander as much as it sometimes did in the first season.

Surprised DC-Fan hasn't showed up yet and said "Jessica Jones is THE WORST SUPERHERO SHOW EVER MADE, it WISHES it was HALF as good as Supergirl on The CW..."

Overall I liked it. To be honest it's my least favorite Marvel/Netflix season, but that's more because I liked the others so much, not that I disliked this.
Liked: Everything Jessica, of course Learning about JJ's origin/IGH...the meat of the season Trish going off the rails Malcolm's arc Oscar as JJ's foil
Disliked: Simpson's quick exit was disappointing, would have like more of him Jeri/Inez was OK at first but then I got tired of them No clear antagonist throughout, not necessarily a bad thing, but I was really missing what Kilgrave brought to the table I've always like Terry Chen, thought he was kind of underutilized in this.

I am only on episode 8, but I really enjoy it so far. I do agree that the lack of a real villain hurts it a bit, but I find the show not to drag this season at all, at least yet.

So thoughts on it so far? Had anyone finished it yet? My power was out all afternoon yesterday; otherwise I'd have been finished. As it is, I have two episodes left and my opinion hasn't changed much; it's at least equal to season one.

Every time Oscar shows up I get a Colin Farrell vibe off him.

I think the reason Nuke wasn't in this season is because Daredevil Season 3 is the "Born Again" storyline, and Nuke was a core part of the final part of that story.

I just finished. I liked it more than season 1. My favorite episode was A.K.A. THE OCTOPUS. Since the show seems to address real-life issues (KILLGRAVE represented rape), in this season the storyline with the director seems to have been added to reflect the sexual harassment scandals, but it felt unfinished. I was surprised that TRISH didn't react at all when the director said that he loved her. I hope season 3 comes back to that. Also, was the storyline with the guard abusing ALISA meant to reflect police brutality? Aside from Daredevil and Punisher, I am pretty much done with Marvel Netflix series'. What if there's another season of THE DEFENDERS, where the plot events will affect those 2 shows?

I loved it, maybe even more than season 1. It's like a noir-ish detective story mixed with a family drama, with superpowers. Great performances, particularly from the woman playing Jessica's mother and from Carrie-Anne Moss as well. The major complaint is the lack of a villain, but addiction is the villain this season. Every character displayed classic addictive, self-destructive behavior, it was deftly written into everyone's arc-- even Malus.
It almost feels like there was no B plot, as everyone's story was equally compelling. Hell, I'd watch a Hogarth spinoff. I hope Malcolm also continues to play a key role next season. I've been excited about the potential for Hellcat since season one, and it appears we're on the brink of getting her!
Jessica seemed to have a taken a few steps toward real heroism by the end of the season-- at least a few steps toward a more normal life by embracing her feelings for Oscar. Still, you can't help but feel a little hollow inside after watching the characters split up over their differences. Hopefully they can mend some fences next season.
I did think it was odd that the show really pushed the idea that killing Alisa was the only possible way to stop her. The Punisher had a very pro-gun, pro-capital punishment agenda, even sanctioned by side characters like Karen Page; but you'd certainly expect that, considering the material. I just thought it was a curious angle to take on this show.

Just finished season 2 and honestly i thought season 1 was better.
Pros:
More back story for the origin of Jessica powers. Malcolm arc. Great performances, especially from the actress that played Alisa. Loved the references to the mcu films, especially the Civil War stuff.
Cons:
Jeri subplot. Many of the episodes feel like filler. Lack of an main Antagonist/Villain.
Honestly they should trim down these marvel shows from 13 to at least 10 episodes.

Honestly they should trim down these marvel shows from 13 to at least 10 episodes. I agree. Actually, that should apply not just to Marvel shows.
