I don't mean different adaptations of the same musical (like ROCKY HORROR). I mean a story (regardless of the source material) that became 2 or more musicals (movies and/or plays) with different plots and songs. The only ones I can think of at the moment are OLIVER TWIST (there's the 1960 play/1968 movie and the animated Disney version) and A CHRISTMAS CAROL (there's SCROOGE (1970), the 2004 TV movie and the MUPPETS version).
Also, what are your general thoughts about this? I mean, do you think it's pointless to make a musical out of something for the 2nd time?
