Actually, you didn't, and I already explained how. "Marvel does a better job of creating a cohesive cinematic universe." I don't believe you, pure and simple. "Keep the characters the way they're supposed to be." Failed to denote if you talking about the comics or the films. Assumed the latter because you stated you really like MoS. So you keep on tappin'. There you go with the BS. A man would own up to his mistakes. But you're no man. The only reason you bring on someone like Geoff Johns is to make sure you're not deviating too much from the comics. You don't hire someone like him just to keep an eye on movie continuity. Use your brain.

I find it painfully difficult to take a man who has to resort to gifs to make his point seriously.

So that's the cut that got a standing ovation from the studio, the UE... But their only beef was the runtime. I'm talking about meddling with th tone and the director's take. Rumor has it that they asked Zack to cut out a lot of the Superman stuff, which definitely affected the movie for the worse. That's meddling in my book, even if the tone remained the same. What pisses me off about the TC is that they cut a lot of Superman's desert plot and the ramifications, the set up, to make it appear as if Superman killed those men, then make it appear he had something to do with the bombing, all the while he and Lois are investigating. That is more of a central plot to the film than even Batman's story.

Wasn't Geoff Johns a creative consultant on Green Lantern? I'm not the biggest fan of his work on the page and I don't understand why people highly praise him. He may know the characters and their history but I don't think he has a good sense of translating those characters from page to screen.

That's still a country mile better than being stuck with Snyder who doesn't understand the characters AT ALL.

The promised filmmaker-driven approach was the reason I was more excited for the DCEU than Marvel, but now I've lost that excitement since WB abandoned it and are trying to turn into Marvel. Wonder Woman and Aquaman seem to be following the director driven approach so I am excited for them. But I am not very optimistic about Justice League.

Perhaps. I'm willing to give Johns a chance. It's not like the DCEU can be any worse.

I really wanted to like BvS but it isn't as bad as some make it out to be. Suicide Squad is probably the biggest offender but even that movie had things about it that I liked.

Man of Steel lost me at, "Are you saying I should have let those kids drown?" ; "Maybe." BvS lost me at Batman murdering petty crooks and Snyder killing Jimmy Olsen as a joke. SS lost me the instant it became clear these aren't really "the bad guys", just heroes with troubled backgrounds.
