Honestly? Give it back to Trank. Work WITH him to make a better film. Learn from their mistakes. Be honest with the fan base. Make amends. Work WITH Marvel. Vindicate the studio and director. It's honestly not that hard to make a good FF movie. You just have to start with the right vision. That would be interesting, but i think at least K. Mara is not TeamTrank

I don't see a sequel happening. Josh Trank is not on good terms with 20th Century Fox so hiring a different director is the best possibility. If Fox still wants to keep the rights, then doing a soft reboot is the best option. Keep the cast, but change the atmosphere of the film to be more reflective of the comics. A second option would be to do what Sony did with Marvel about Spider-Man and just share the film rights. Fox could create a licensing agreement with Marvel Studios to allow for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to use the Fantastic Four characters.
However, in all honestly, I wish Fox would just revert the rights back to Marvel and focus solely on the X-Men franchise.

Better writing, a different cast, and make Human Torch white. If they must make HT/Johnny Storm black then make Sue Storm black as well since they're siblings.

As Wikipedia notes, "Marvel Studios and Sony reached a deal to share the character rights of Spider-Man, integrating the character into the established MCU."

I mentioned that in my earlier post that Fox and Marvel Studios could share the film rights of the characters. It allows for Fox to retain the characters, and for Marvel to do the characters the justice they long deserved. It may not happen in reality, but it's a possibility I wish the executives at Fox would consider.

Give the rights back to Marvel. They tried three times already. It's over.

Fox has only two options either work together with Marvel or hand it back to them. No one in their right mind wants to see another reboot by Fox it just not going to happen.

I'm with the "give it back to Marvel" camp. For me, Fox has proven they don't have a handle on the characters, like they (mostly) do with the X-Men franchise.

Fox will make a new one just before they lose the right. They will never give it back.

Let the rights go to Marvel so they can make a real Fantastic Four movie.

The only thing that can save Fantastic Four is to either give it to Marvel altogether or co-produce it with them the way they're doing with Spider Man; new cast and incorporate it into the MCU. Even then it will be an uphill battle at this point.
