I got home a little early and caught most of this stinker on TNT for the first time in a while. I used to somewhat like it, but it's quite bad. I was laughing so hard at it. Several parts were cracking me up: Sam Jackson and Natalie Portman's awful performances, the Gungans' idiocy and way they speak, Jar Jar, Anakin flying a ship, this guy's face when he cheers the Trade Fed. ship blowing up, the dreadfully boring senate and Jedi Council scenes, "Yippee!", "Now this is pod racing!" Most of the movie has this dopey child-like tone to it. Sad part is that it's still the best prequel (episodes 2 and 3 are terrible). Not only does it have the best lightsaber fights, it's the only prequel with fights that are worth a damn. Darth Maul says virtually nothing and manages to be better than mostly every other villain in the entire trilogy. It's got the best effects of the prequel trilogy. Liam Neeson isn't great, but one of the better prequel characters. Palpatine was great before he became a cartoon in the last one.

awww, no, not even the crickets seem to care. But you know that you are my favorite trailer-trash troll, I will never let you down. You sound mopey, maybe because you again failed to understand the more complex parts of the film, like Palpatine's plot and scheming? Maybe Star Wars is just not for you. But hey, remember what you found "Sooooooooo good?", the Guardian penis, turd and nipple dialogue! Here again your favorite raccoon turd to sniff for all eternity: Awwwwww, that doesn't stink right? bet you are clapping like a happy little Marvel seal. "Dance off, turd blossom"

This turd obsession is becoming a fetish, Tristan. Time for an intervention.

I think these films aren't perfect or for everybody, but there's more going on in them than some people give them credit for? If that makes sense. Especially if you look at the overall vision and what George lucas was trying to do, whether he pulled it all off successfully is a whole other discussion, lol. He didn't necessarily have the chops to convey it all perfectly of course.

Yea, so: If you want to at least like, look at the entire PT from other people's eyes, so to speak. And at least understand 'why' they like it, then this video is for you, lol. I know it's long, but worth it.

I reckon you could check this one out, it sheds some light on the star wars creativity in general:
I don't agree with what this video says about restraint, but what it says about creativity I do agree on.

I think there's more going on in the film creatively than TfA, and do I even have to mention Rogue 1? lol. Not that all of it works, some of it is goofy as hell, which is a slight problem. overall it's a good movie. At least it shows us stuff in star wars that were new to me at the first viewing of the film.
Cuz it has cool stuff like the pod race, which is easy to make fun of though, but sound design wise, it's excellent.
Then you got Anakin taking off in the space ship, which I admit is dumb, but kinda cool.
But then you got the announcers during the pod race. Well that was just stupid, even I can't deny that, lol.
But everything else in the film is fine, even jar jar never bothered me, that much.

Ah so basically you don't like it because you wanted an action adventure story , like episodes 4 through 6 were? Or all the new Disney star wars, I don't know if you like them or not though. And you don't like it because it shows you the world of star wars and not just action adventure, ok I get it. I get that. I get your opinion, I really do. Personally for a film that was just trying to show the 'world' of star wars, I think it did a decent if not good job. Especially since it's from the person who literally invented star wars.
And I just gotta mention all the things you complained about, I don't think they made the film horrible, I just felt that some of the things in this movie were charmingly out of place(but not terrible). If you know what i'm saying.
