As anyone here seen the flick SSSSSSS? I saw it last May on Svengoolie. It was kinda freaky the way the protag turned into a snake.

It made a big impression on me(especially considering that the crew worked with real snakes). And yes, the way he looked at the end was very disturbing.

It's a movie you always feel silly asking someone if they've seen. I remember it being kind of creepy but it's been a while since I've seen it.

Weird movie. One of many "novelty horrors" of which there were so many in the Seventies; and I don't mean twisted, perverse or sensational,--it has some of those qualities--just extremely weird as to setting, subject matter, ambiance, etc. A good movie, somewhat depressing, Strother Martin saves it, and that's real good.

Yes, I saw it on TV many many years ago, probably the first time it aired on TV. The ending really creeped me out. It's a fun movie and Strother Martin is always fantastic.

This movie also stars a pre "A-Team" and pre "Battlestar Galactica" Dirk Benedict!

Strother Martin reading a poem to the pet snake was a nice touch.
The carnival scene with the previous assistant on display-I found that really disturbing.
Someone in the IMDB reviews for it came up with a better ending. He or she said it should have ended with the daughter doing one of those tourist shows and the cobra going right up to her without any hostility and she says "thank you David."
The mongoose is quite remarkable. Another film with a mongoose-cobra scene is the Stranglers of Bombay.

I thought it was just OK. Some of the make-up effects were impressive, though, and Strother Martin was a good mad scientist.

It used to play on TBS a lot back in the 90's. Very good, better than that title would suggest, and anything with Strother Martin is always worth watching.
