Pilot was okay. Jampacked with info but it's interesting enough. Better Krypton than Man of Steel's. Best part is Superman's grandfather already having a kid with his fiancee while also having a Zod love interest. Also Great Grandma Zod is pretty cool.

I thought it was excellent for a pilot. Wana see where it goes Excellent? Wow. Was it that good? We won't see it here until Wednesday but I am looking forward to watching it and there was a preview show of it on the Syfy Channel the other night and they talked to Geoff Johns, Scott Snyder and Richard Donner among other names and it looks like it could turn out to be a good show. I am loving the look of Braniac so far and Geoff Johns said he is going to be very similar to how he is in the comic books and he thinks this version is going to be the one fans have been waiting for.

It was good, I hope they can keep it up.
Interesting blend of advance alien city and frozen wasteland; suggesting some type of cataclysm in their past, which itself has potential. I'm happy that for once the fortress isn't depicted as this weird construct of random spires with no practical form or architecture.

I still haven't seen it yet and it turns out I was wrong with the days and it airs here for the first time tomorrow night but I have been hearing a lot of good things about it from fans and one of the things people are talking about is all of the characters that are going to be appearing in this show including the first ever TV appearance of the Green Lantern and the Omega Men. I have to say, I am really surprised over the Green Lantern Corps being in 'Krypton' instead of 'Arrow' or one of the other shows in the 'Arrowverse' 'cause it has long been believed Green Lantern was off limits to TV but it appears the Syfy Channel must have the rights to use them. Hawkman is another character that is being heavily rumoured now and after what they did with the character on 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' let's hope 'Krypton's' version is better. Huh. It doesn't look strong. Guess that's why they say not to judge a book by its cover.

The second episode of Krypton was quite good. I have no plans to stop watching at this point.

Don't mind the show. Not as good as Smallville but not bad. Krypton is not the paradise I thought it would be. Why does the S represent hope when there was no hope on the planet? People were treated like slaves and killed for not obeying a dictator.

If you're living in a futuristic dystopia, what's more valuable than hope?

Given the role of the protagonist, and his family crest; it stands to reason that over the next 200 years on Krypton the symbol of the house of El comes to represent hope, as a result of the work Sig does - possibly breaking down those walls of social privilege and hierarchy, and making Krypton a better place (....shortly before it's destroyed....)
But also, the symbol has meant different things for different iterations. I seem to recall it actually being the Kent family crest at one point in the comics...

People were treated like slaves and killed for not obeying a dictator. Yeah. I was surprised over that too. I was expecting Krypton to be a much nicer place after some of the stories Kara has told people about it in the 'Supergirl' comic books but perhaps Stargazer might be right and Sig will be the one who changes Krypton to the planet it was before it was destroyed. Still, when you think about it the Kryptonians lived very depressing lives to have lived through what they did in this show and to see their planet change to something good only to have it all destroyed not long after.

Well the show doesn't have to be the same as the comics. Though whose to say that Krypton didn't become a utopia by Kara's time? This show could be about how the efforts of the House of El turned the planet into the Krypton we're all familiar with.

No. It doesn't but it is just very different from what we have seen with the planet before in other adaptions of Superman and Supergirl and I think you might be right abut it being about how the House of El and Sig in particular turns the planet around and makes it a better place to live at the end. I am curious as to how they are going to use Braniac going forward as a villain, if he is going to appear more frequently and have a talking role and if he is going to remain the main villain in the series or they plan to switch to other Superman villains to replace him in future seasons depending on how long this show goes for. They might have Braniac send other villains to fight Sig and he will have to defeat a different one every season. One thing is for sure unless they completely change things Braniac will most likely survive since he is still around when Clark becomes Superman but they could still have Sig defeat him without eliminating him.

Well, they do seem to suggest time travel being involved; since Adam is telling Sig that Brainiac has come back to destroy Krypton in order to prevent Superman's birth. So it's feasible that this version of Brainiac is a future version who could be destroyed, leaving his younger version to roam the universe and later encounter Superman.
