A few films they aired could be called "Deep hurting! Deep hurting!" I know their focus was mostly to air the fun, goofy "best of the worst" bad movies for purposes of keeping the show watchable and tolerable, but boy a few things slipped through the cracks. Personally, I have a hard time making it through "Invasion of the Neptune Men". It's so boring to me, even with Mike and the Bots. "The Castle of Fu Manchu" almost defeated my cousin's attempt to watch it. It took several tries, but he made it. He still wonders what was going on in that movie. That one was a hard sit FOR Mike and the Bots as well. If memory serves, they were on the verge of insanity when Krankor showed up and brightened their day. pippinmaniac: On the topic of Coleman Francis, pippin, here's a five part article about him. Part 2Part 3Part 4Conclusion

Raptor, thanks for the link to the article. For every Billy Wilder, there's a Coleman Francis counterpart somewhere. It keeps the universe in balance.

I really hope the new season turns out to be good. I don't have Netflix, though, so I'll have to wait and see. They really need to show "Gymkata" and "Killdozer" based on the number of times they were referenced during the run of the earlier seasons.

I'm a Mistie as well. I own several volumes of MST3K on DVD. Last month I was at a Science Fiction Marathon and they showed "Hercules Against the Moon Men" as a surprise film. Since this is one of the episodes I have on DVD, I shouted out some of the more memorable riffs at the appropriate times during the film. I accuse my parents is a great episode

Have been a major fan since 1990... when it was initially running on "The Comedy Channel" (which later morphed into Comedy Central).

Been a huge fan of the show since the 90s. No TV show or movie makes me laugh as hard as MST3K and Rifftrax.

I first caught MST3K on Comedy Central. I instantly fell in love with the concept. It changed my movie watching habits.

I first caught MST3K on Comedy Central. I instantly fell in love with the concept. It changed my movie watching habits. It did mine, too. I started being more open to watching more "B" movies. They can be a lot of fun. Richard Carlson, of "Tormented " fame, was in quite a few entertaining B movies. I rather enjoyed "It Came From Outer Space" and "The Magnetic Monster", plus the better known "Creature From the Black Lagoon". I would have never known to look for those movies if I hadn't seen "Tormented" first on MST3K.

I saw my first show in 1992 on Comedy Central and was a fan for life. It was "Cave Dwellers" a.k.a. "Blade Master" a.k.a. "Ator the Invincible." It starred Miles O'Keefe ("How much Keefe is in this movie?"). It is still one of my favorites.
Pretentious Old Man: You must go to the end of the earth... Crow: And ask for Earl.
I also love "The Amazing Colossal Man"
Distraught woman: "Why did this happen?" Tom Servo: "Because he's dumb as a box of hammers, lady."
So many Bad Movies, so many great lines.

Yes. They're currently running episodes on CometTV every Sunday evening. Unfortunately, they have only about 10 episodes. They just showed Manos, the Hands of Fate last weekend lol. Love me some MST3K!

I just watched Teenagers From Space. The lobster was the best, and I about lost it when they started singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow I wish they'd reboot this show and do it with films like Gargantuan and The Bermuda Depths.

It's being rebooted on netflix if I'm not mistaken. Really?! That's exciting. The premise of this show is one that can keep going as long as there are shitty movies to make fun of!

First time, I watched MST3K was on Comedy Central, and I had no idea about Joel and the puppets, I didn't really notice they were on the screen. Lol, I noticed them though a week later, and I just thought the concept was so brilliant. My two fav episodes are The Magic Sword and Space Mutiny.

I'm very dubious of MST3k being rebooted without any input from the minds behind the original series, especially Murphy and Nelson. I don't know if the new crew can measure and I'm certainly hoping they don't make it too political.
