You seem to believe the government is especially fit to make any medical decisions. So, supporting a law requiring parents to bring their toddler to a doctor before she dies translates to you as believing that "the government is especially fit to make any medical decisions."
If you haven't already done so, please, PLEASE, put it in your will that you are leaving your brain to science.
If your point perhaps is that there are doctors who would be rather helpful, I am certain there are. I am just as certain that you not being one makes the selection rather problematic. Thus we should let parents select.

I know I am playing "catch up" here, but now I truly get it when other posters use that phrase "Planet Arlon".

I think it's a wonderful thing that stupid people are quick to consult doctors. That can mean unnecessarily bothering medical professionals for hours but what else can you do? Let stupid people run their own lives? Better safe than sorry. You do need to be careful trying to boss smart people around though. If you do they might get a gun and shoot you. Just saying. A good doctor, you should know, will able to persuade patients what services are best for them and exactly why. If the doctor cannot persuade patients and depends on force of law, it is probably not a very good doctor anyway. Only an idiot would support such doctors.

and this is why people need to stop being retarded when it comes to religion. if your GOD isn't physically present to wave his magic wand over your sickly child to heal him or her, take your kid to the fucking doctor.
some people shouldn't become parents.
and bs with the separation of church and state... that was written before the invention of these retarded 'religions'.

It's not exactly a "rule" that if you can't explain it to a child, you don't understand it enough yourself. There is however much wisdom in that. Forcing purchases by law has the detrimental effect of raising the prices ungodly high. Notice how much military equipment costs, but what can you do about that but try voting it down? Abnormally high prices are why so many states are discarding laws requiring repeated vehicle inspections. The inspection itself costs less than voluntary inspections because that cost is set by law. No other costs are though and many inspectors try to "recover" that loss by requiring purchases unnecessarily.
