James Gunn's iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy has made them an A-list team, and what we've seen of Infinity War suggests we're getting that very same group of personalities in the film.

The characterisation is fine (except for Gay-Lord), but at least now they’ll have a different scriptwriter and different dialogue. I like Rocket and the others (except for Star-Loser).

Guardians of the Galaxy is played up for laughs. You may say it's lame but it's not supposed to be taking itself seriously, that's what separates it from the other movies and teams.
They gotta be careful not to overdo though or it could get old quick.

Guardians of the Galaxy is played up for laughs. So GotG is basically a rip-off of TMNT.

So GotG is basically a rip-off of TMNT. No because TMNT wasn't the first team up played for laughs either. Not only did TMNT not even start off that way, Guardians of the Galaxy is decades older.

The Shitbags of the Galaxy won’t be so lame. No mix tapes, no dancing at inappropriate moments. Here’s hoping that Infinity War shows what the GOTG could be without the flivolities 👏🏻 Dancing at inappropriate times?

Get rid of Chris Pratt too. Please, leave it to you Starlord would've been played by someone like Sam Worthington.

Get rid of Chris Pratt too. Nah, Pratt's performance is a big reason why the Guardians became an A-list super team.

One of the reasons why we even have an MCU at all is because of RDJ's portrayal of Tony Stark, without his performance that first movie wouldn't have clicked with so many people. Without that first movie and RDJ's work as Tony Stark you wouldn't have your oh so precious Punisher series on Netflix. Guardians was a success in part because of Pratt's Starlord, he helped people get invested into that first film and continued to do so in the sequel.

Nah he would be played by an actual actor not a goofball You do realize Pratt is going by the director's vision and the script, yes? If he's instructed to play a cocky space cowboy then its his job to play it that way, just the same if he's instructed to play a no-nonsense, on-the-edge character its his job to play it as such. Secondly, it isn't easy to transition from comedy to drama as well as being a believable on-screen action hero is no easy feat. That Pratt was able to do so in Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, Jurassic World, and Guardians of the Galaxy all while playing perhaps the silliest character on Parks and Rec. is pretty impressive, all things considered. How many have successfully transitioned in such a short period of time? I can only think of Bruce Willis and Michael Keaton, honestly.

Nah he would be played by an actual actor not a goofball Doing comedic characters is way harder than dramatic acting, thats' why Bernthal is barely acting as Frank Castle. As for RDJ, guy has 2 Oscar Noms under his belt and at least 1 Golden Globe. When Bernthal has anything close to that you'll have a leg to stand on.

It's been explained to you over and over again that Tropic Thunder was an extremist satire on crazy Hollywood practices and RDJ's character was supposed to mock ridiculous, controversial castings and method actors like Daniel Day-Lewis who get so "into character". Furthermore, Tony Stark and Frank Castle are two totally different characters. They're going to be portrayed differently. Also, hate to break your little heart but your boy Jon Bernthal has done comedic work before, *coughs* *gets out IMDb filmography*...Tony and Tonya's Wedding, The Class, Bar Starz, Date Night, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Supermansion, Robot Chicken...Oh and he was also Al Capone in a Night at the Museum sequel.
