Not even close IM3 was a typical cheesy mcu movie starring borning RDJ,proof that he does not belong in the mcu. DK was a mature movie with talented actors perfect 10 Doesn't belong? RDJ is one of the reasons WHY we have an MCU at all, genius. RDJ gave a better performance in Iron Man 3 than anyone in Dark Knight.

Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker has remained of of my favorite villain performances of all-time and easily the best performance in any superhero movie (Robert Downey Jr. has probably given the best MCU performance in the first Iron Man movie).

Thats why he won an Oscar for it right and not Heath... Heath Ledger only won because he fell out a window or whatever... I dunno. I was pretty impressed with Ledger. The script he had to work with was pretty bad but he was still watchable and was easily the best part of the movie. Rising above mediocre material is pretty impressive. It's pretty shocking how bad the movie falls into a boring slugfest any time Ledger isn't onscreen.

None of that changes that all the characters in TDK were written as idiots to make the Joker look smart. That's lazy writing. ...Or more accurately, dumb writing. A smart writer can make a character smart without resorting to the cheap trick of writing all the other characters as stupid. The writer of The Last Jedi could learn that lesson too. If you aren't smart enough to write a smart character, hire someone who can do it.

Sure...if you believe awards prove anything and ignore the movie itself. Let's see if TDK fans really believe in awards. According to the Academy, TDK wasn't among the top 5 movies of 2008. If you are going to tout awards you have to agree with that one too.

I actually remember liking Iron Man 3 quite a bit. It was nowhere near TDK in my opinion, but I really liked it.
Then I caught IM3 on TV earlier today and it was pretty bad. It was just a mess. There are good scenes, but overall I didn't like watching it again.

Its a safe, play it by the numbers MCU flick. Made the Mandarin a goofball for laughs. Refused to kill Pepper. Refused to fully go into Starks PTSD after cutting his alcoholism storyline to make it family friendly. And typical Marvel 3rd act fight. Lots of CGIs, lots of jokes during serious scenes like when Tonys incoming armour comically falls apart, bad guy loses in a cliche way, hero gets to take girl home alive and intact. Nothing original to see here.
Meanwhile Dark Knight breaks so many convention's including the biggest of having the villain win.

yikes, hobo: "I wouldn't go in there for 20 minutes!".
I know you like it smelly. But not every movie can have toilet humor.

I'd also like to say that Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian was far more compelling than any of the characters in the Dark Knight. Wrong on so many levels. Guy Pearce was a boring vanilla CBM villain. Heath Ledger joker was far superior compared to that Killian nonsense. Joker in the Dark Knight was a intense and even scary at times. Heath performance set the bar for great CBM villain performances that honestly hasn't been beaten yet. The closest we got was Michael Keaton Vulture in Homecoming. Hell Aaron Eckhart Two-face is more memorable than Killian!

^ what he fed the troll with.
Fun Fact: TDK is also one of the significantly most down-voted movies, eg on IMdB with thousands of 1/10 ratings. Guess who so desperately wants to poo poo on this masterwork, Marvel fanboys? Still, even better: TDK holds at 9/10 average and sits since a decade at No 4 of the all Best Movies, maybe higher without the downvotes, the other films following suit in the chart.
You got my sympathy, It's hard to compensate with a thorn like this in the raccoon paw.

The motive of Killian and the other orange explosion guys is dumb. AIM is just thrown in for no reason. The weird psychological stuff with Stark and PTSD (it's a good idea, but it's handled so strangely). The writing is cringe-worthy in many scenes. The Mandarin twist was too goofy to work. Pepper's outburst at the end is comical.

The first time you say you think the movies are in the wrong order on that site, your point collapses.
