I guess there isn't a Wild Wild West video game-that would be neat-especially if you could explore the train and get into disguises and roam around in them.

THE NIGHT OF THE THOUSAND EYES - interesting villain as well as femme fatale (actress seemed familiar or his voice did but I can't recognize her from anything). Also some good solo Artemus Gordon scenes.

Appropriately enough, my TWWW commentary escapes from limbo with: "The Night of the Lord of Limbo"This is an interesting episode. Not since "The Night of the Eccentrics" have we seen the supernatural on this show. I'm not counting "The Night of the Man-Eating House", as it was revealed at the end to be a dream. Speaking of "The Night of the Man-Eating House", I found it amusing when Jim said at 11:50, "I've the oddest feeling that I've been in this house some time before." Well yeah, it's a redress of the titular "Man-Eating House"! Later, around 32:20, they even play the music from that episode. Some other thoughts: - Just before the 16:00 minute mark, Vautrain references Jim's military rank of Captain. IIRC, that is the first time since the pilot.
- The first two acts have unusual times. Act I ends at 19:17, while Act II is quite short, ending at 25:39.
- At 36:15, Live Oak Manor sure cleans up good!
- Artie's dialog at 39:21, "Ah, now we know Col. Vautrain. Your side is going to win." sounds dubbed.
- This episode is apparently set in 1870. The Battle of Vicksburg ended on July 4, 1863, and Vautrain says he has been hating Jim for seven years.
- When Jim and Artie return from 1863, I don't understand why the house is still on fire. Wouldn't a house that caught on fire in 1863 be nothing but a pile of ashes in 1870?
In conclusion, I'll try to be more timely with my next post, as "The Night of the Tottering Tontine" is one of my favorites!

Watched THE NIGHT OF THE ECCENTRICS The musical score was simple yet suspenseful, creating a sense of expectation appropriate for the first color episode.
It was a bit startling to see Richard Pryor. Never seen him without a mustache.
This is a good one for pondering who is driving the train because the Count and his gang enter the train car from the front. Did they encounter the engineer? Or did the engineer head off to the nearest town for a drink since he knew he wouldn't be needed?

"The Night of the Tottering Tontine"I've always been fond of West's alliterative titles. It's a naming convention that they've used before in the series, e.g., "Dancing Death", "Big Blast", and "Poisonous Posey". And it's one that they will use again, e.g., "Feathered Fury", "Vicious Valentine", "Bogus Bandits", "Gruesome Games" and "Avaricious Actuary". Some thoughts: - At 1:17 we meet Dexter, played by Mike Road. About two years earlier, Road was providing the voice of Roger "Race" Bannon on the "Jonny Quest" cartoon.
- The explosion at 2:10 leaves visible dirt on the camera lens (or a glass shield in front of it).
- At 2:42 we find the dead Dexter kneeling before he topples over. Over on that other site, someone suggested that this trope could be one of the elements of The Wild Wild West. I don't know about that, but this episode has two such instances. At 23:50 Applegate, the banker character, stands while dead for a few seconds, and then topples over. We should come up with a name for this trope. Dance of Death perhaps?
- At 11:57, we reach "The Island of Stock Footage", which will later become the titular "Bleak Island" in the fourth season.
- At 12:23 Artie enters in his "Angus McGordon" disguise. But what happened to the sling on his arm? For that matter, what happened to the horse Artie's was riding when the tree fell on him? Artie's horse seemingly disappears.
- At 42:32, just before "The Death of Edward Baring", we hear the music box version of "Old Master Jip" from TNOT Bottomless Pit.

I enjoy Tontine, one of my favorite episodes. One of the many, many appearances of the often used street and street corner building(West and Dr Raven come out of in the beginning). I need to add it up one of these days, but I’ll wager it is used in 1/3 of the episodes.

I remember it also has a prominent appearance in Season 3's "The Night of the Death-Maker".

Off the top of my head: First season episodes Burning Diamond and Dancing Death come to mind as well. 2nd season, Bogus Bandits. Season 4 Big Blackmail, Miguelito’s Revenge, Avaricious Actuary, Janus, Diva and Tycoons.

Besides the usually henchmen, Whitey Hughes, Red West and Dick Cangey, Mickey Golden is also in many episodes as well.
