RV doesn't have many funny moments. The ones that are funny are stretched longer than necessary. The editing and the characters' body language are so fast that they contradict the deadpan humour that director Barry Sonnenfeld was clearly going for. The music score and soundtrack are very good and the cinematography is great. Robin Williams, Jeff Daniels, Cheryl Hines and Kristin Chenoweth's performances are decent. So is Joanna "Jojo" Levesque's, despite not having a lot to work with... which leads me to the movie's biggest flaw: There's not a single likeable character. The family members don't gradually start to bond; all of the sudden they switch from not being able to stand one another to getting along. I hate it when workaholic parents in movies quit their jobs at the end, instead of trying to find a middle ground. This movie seemed to be headed that way and it was worse than usual because of how BOB MUNRO was manipulating his own family... until he told them that he needs the job to pay for all the things that they want... which is true! Then, he does quit his job, but it's bad because his wife JAMIE told him "I never asked you to quit." Later, he gets another job. I should dismiss it as convenient, but I was relieved that the movie wasn't trying to shove the "Spending time with your family is more important than having a job" message down the audience's throats. Right after that, the titular vehicle wrecks his new bosses' cars and the movie ends. Will he still get that job? I don't think I even care anymore. 4/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog (in English, in Spanish or in Italian).

5/10. Slight but there were a few solid bits that made me laugh. Oh how I miss Robin Williams.
