The N*Sync joke was cringe. The meta jokes were bad. the nysnc joke was not a joke. if I remember correctly pryo played the radio, nys nc was on, logan shut it down in anger. there was nothing meant to be funny about it. poor mcu fans, you have not recovered from the actual Beyoncé jokes in dr strange. this is X2 right? the dark knight before the dark knight of 2008. X2 is still one movie MCU movies have yet to top. the difference between xmen movies and batman movies is they have some humour moments but the tone of the movies are still heavy, dramatic and serious. MCU is just nothing more but jokes, Disney light weight and cgi. maybe this is why they think multiple man will be comedy too. mcu fans clearly don't have the brains to read x-factor or messiah complex saga to know no multiple man related story means or screams jokes. |

LOL, I cannot wait for the entire world to disown the Disney xmen movies like they disowned the last jedi, the force awakens and homecoming. it will be fun to watch.
good thing xmen has now become like star wars before the disney takeover and for a marvel IP far more respected than spiderman ever became because movies like Logan, DOFP, Deadpool all came later. all this three series (x-men, spiderman, star wars) already had excellent movies to fall back on before the Disney cgi garbage jokes movies began.

I would add from X2: Magneto's stupid "love what you done with your hair" line to Rogue.
"Have you tried not being a mutant???"
"What are you a professor of???""Art."
the cat licking wolverine's claws (extra stupid because Wolverine should have been able to tell by his super smell/hearing/scent ability it was an animal and not a threat).
The mutant kid sticking his tongue out both times.

It was meant to be funny to us, but not the characters. Especially since it was meant to be funny in the trailer. I think most of the humor in the X-men movies is like that. Funny to the audience, but not meant to be funny to the characters. I think only in the 1st movie we got actual humor between characters (Joss Whedon did write it). There was a lot of "line is said, there are smiles" in that movie. |

X2 is outdated, it's been left in the dust by the MCU. MCU beat it long ago, in fact if X2 had come out now it wouldn't be a blip on the radar.
The FoX-Men movies simply are too puffed up and high on their own self-importance. Pretentious nonsense instead of something authentic.
Oh, and Messiah Complex was a lame story. Like Inferno and anything with Legion in it.
