I am still feeding your bullshit, but fine. Why would the Republic be strong in just 30 years? Because if fans were okay with the New Republic NOT being strong, they wouldn't be upset with how things went in TFA. I dunno, I just know that OT fans were PO'ed Luke wasn't some great Jedi Grandmaster fighting Ren and Snoke on his own and Rey being his incompetent, useless sidekick.
Oh believe me, it was. The Prequel Jedi all sucked, the Political Storyline sucked, Portman sucked, Anakin sucked, the Clone Wars not being exactly what fans imagined it would be meant it had to suck, the Separatists being aliens with accents sucked, the accents they chose sucked, etc.
I don't believe in all that but it's the general consensus.
We'll have to see how Episode IX goes. Maybe OT fans will have gotten over themselves by then.

What exactly did Disney do new? They rehashed ep 4. SW is a big universe they could of come up with an original story. Last Jedi is even worse. After all the damage the Prequels did, they needed to rebuild faith in the brand. Rehashing a beloved storyline did that. They did more damage than good and divided the fans. Rehashing was just lazy no risk at all. Instead of taking advantage of the big universe they took the easy way out.

The prequels screwed things up enough that trying something different (and it isn't like Wars lends itself to a large variety of storytelling possibilities) would've been too risky right off the bat.

We'll have to see how Episode IX goes. Maybe OT fans will have gotten over themselves by then. -Not being strong and being decimated by losing 5 planets in an entire GALAXY is different than being 'weak'. I mean, they were beyond weak if they allowed such a massive weapon to be built at all without any knowledge of it. -no -no. You're projecting your own hatred now. -So, OT&PT fans will get over themselves and succumb to the derivative hollow shit they've been feeding us because...time? No.

But, as usual, they were screwed either way.

No. 1) If the New Republic can be messed up by losing it's capital system, then it's not strong. YOU were the one who brought up the New Republic not being strong because it's only been 30 years was acceptable.
2) If Luke HAD been some Grandmaster Jedi with Rey as his useless sidekick, OT fans would've been fine with it. Rey being an independent heroine, on the other hand...
3) I said I don't believe in all that, it's just opinions I've encountered.
4) They'll get over themselves and realize that if they're fine with the PT but condemn the ST from start to finish they don't have a leg to stand on. Otherwise they're hypocrites.

You don't know if that would of happened. The prequels being different was the right idea, somethings could of been better, but that was flaw. Look at the EU,that was proof there was more SW beyond Luke,Leia and Han with games, comics, books and animated series. Making an original movie wouldn't be a stretch

No it wasn't. The EU was all about them, their presence permeating everything, and every major story ended on "And they lived happily ever after". Same with the Games and comics, unless they set them in the distant past. Same with the cartoons, all set BEFORE the OT.
No one had any faith in an era after the OT to do a TV series about it, and none of the novels had the balls to kill off the OT characters and move on with new ones. Hell, they introduced successor characters and killed THEM off instead!

OT fans will never except crap writing. They accepted the Prequels. The prequels weren't crap writing (except for Jar Jar). Your nonsensical prejudice against it blinds you. The problem with the prequels was the erratic pacing, mostly due to how the political themes were incorporated. Also the directing of the actors could've been better, no question. You're trying to trash the prequels for their weaknesses but paint the ST as infallible. Laughable. You don't have a leg to stand on. Do a box office comparison of both under adjusted gross income. You will find that the ST combined isn't really much more successful than than the prequels if at all. If they're so much more better than the prequels, speaking from a quality standpoint then it should show up in the box office in adjusted gross income. It doesn't. Fact! And then when you consider that the prequels box office results weren't bolstered by Disney warrior princess transplant fans... The ST is crap. They've put all of their eggs in 2 baskets: the superficial OT look, and the Disney warrior princess story. And JJ Abrams is a one trick pony. That's why they got Rian Johnson to do the second movie. Abrams better hope the writer of episode IX saves his butt! Because if he doesn't (and the writing depends on Abrams influence), this is going to be one of the most colossal box office drop offs of all time.

So still plenty of crap. Not infallible, just worthy of existence. As opposed to everyone who thinks they don't deserve to exist. Every concept, every idea, every character. NONE of them deserve to exist according to OT fans. Because back then the SW fandom didn't know how much worse it would get with the Prequels and blindly had hopes. As opposed to "Make the OT characters the stars, and if you have any new characters make sure they're just useless sidekicks or killed off ASAP so to not threaten the OT characters." approach.

hahahahahaaha! The logic! THE LOGIC! It's sound logic if you operate on the belief that OT fans are just that Toxic and would never accept a proper continuation and ESPECIALLY hate the idea of new characters taking over who weren't portrayed as incompetent sidekicks to the OT characters for years and years. And they hate the idea of there being new threats the OT characters couldn't handle on their own. And that the New Republic wasn't unbeatable. You know, basic "stuck in the past" types.

In other words, the sequel trilogy is crap! It's the crappiest SW ever. It's fanfic garbage not worthy of being canon. And the only way you can defend it is to lie about OT fans every single post. LULZ!!

In other words, the sequel trilogy is Hated for existing, by toxic OT fans who can't accept that ROTJ wasn't some absolute Happily Ever After. If you think only the OT characters deserve to exist and be the only heroes and no one else should ever be created to have their own stories because OT fans are so thin skinned the mere idea of stories set after the OT and new heroes for these stories are repellent.

The prequels did have some bad writing. Especially the "romantic" scenes in attack of the clones.
I actually wish George Lucas had some help with the prequel trilogy. That's what made the original trilogy so good, it wasn't all George. He had two over directors and other writers to help him. He really needed that with the prequel trilogy.
Honestly I think that the prequels probably wouldn't be that hated if it had that.

No!If you're smart enough to see the writing sucks and most of the characters came from the Disney channel. Obviously you're not smart enough to see that. The ST is crap.
