Under the Dome by Stephen King. It's basically a rip-off of The Simpsons Movie.

Eaters of the Dead. Been a Crichton fan since I was 12. Took me a while to get into that one because of the style, but by the time I was done I really liked it.
Liked the movie a lot too.

The next book I'm going to tackle is The Hotel New Hampshire by John Irving.

Reading the old 1927 version of the Hardy Boys "The Tower Treasure". These are fun books, they capture a slice of life of the late 1920's. Not sure who all is aware but the later blue spined hardback versions of the Hardy Boys were actually edited in the 1950's and 1960's and sometimes entirely changed the plots even though they retained the titles.

read all 4 of Ferrante's Neapolitan Quartet. Quite a ride. I’m close to finishing the first book now. It’s interesting reading it after having watched the first season of the TV series based on the books. There have been some changes between book and show, but for the most part it feels like the TV series has adhered to the majority of the book. I’m wondering if I should go straight onto the second book after I’ve finished the first. On the one hand, it’ll probably ‘spoil’ me for whatever’s going to happen in the second season of the show...but on the other hand, it’ll probably be ages before I ever get to see a second season, so by then I’ll have probably forgotten a lot of what I read anyway. The show was really engrossing. Hard to watch at times, but by the end of the 8 episodes I was super-eager to watch the next season. It’s impressive that the actresses they got to play the roles hadn’t really done any acting prior to these roles. The behind the scenes documentary titled ‘My True Brilliant Friend’ was almost as engrossing as the show itself, as it allowed us to get to know the actresses (who even acted like their characters at one point). Their reaction to the first episode being premiere was quite touching. I’m so glad I’ve been able to find a book series that I can get into, as I’ve borrowed out quite a few books from the library throughout the year and more often than not found myself losing interest in them not long after having started reading them.

Titus Groan, the first of Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast series. So far, I am loving its intricate descriptive prose, Dickensian characters and sense of humour. I must admit I find myself re-reading some passages to pick up on details I have missed - it's a pretty dense novel.

The first book reminded me of stories that my mother told me of her going to school after WWII I’m wondering if I should go straight onto the second book after I’ve finished the first. Hard to watch at times, but by the end of the 8 episodes I was super-eager to watch the next season. Apparently there's a 5th one now.

It’s a novella set in the closing stages of WW2. I just bought another book by this author Beyond Sleep.
