Han Solo, Rick Deckard, Indiana Jones, etc. Why is Harrison Ford playing all of these old roles of his again in recent years? I mean besides money of course.

Because he was highly successful in earlier roles and the studios keep creating sequels of the films that he starred in.

Do you remember his most recent roles not associated with the mentioned franchises.

Maybe he can't find any other roles or roles are not being offered. It's well known the older you get in Hollywood the harder it is to get parts no matter how successful you are. Plus certain actors have a set way of acting. Their movements, the way they speak and deliver a line etc, are similar in all their movies and he has a tendancy to be like this, so maybe it limits the roles offered. Look at Christoph Waltz. When he did 'Spectre' I thought 'Django Unchained' had come to James Bond. It was terrible. He sounded and acted exactly the same. Ford is similar in his various movie roles.

My guess is that they won't leave him the hell alone. My understanding was that he would only agree to be in TFA if they killed Han Solo. I'm betting that is probably his plan with Indiana as well.

Why would he want to kill off Indiana Jones? If he had his way, he'd be content to play Indiana Jones for the rest of his career.

If he's willing to play the character again in his mid-70's, then it's clear he doesn't want to pass the torch to someone else or else he would have done that with Indy 4 or sooner.

Probably the money offered was hard to resist. And I expect he enjoyed playing those roles anyway.

Maybe he was getting tired of playing grumpy, surly, sourpuss characters.

He's going the way of Bela Lugosi, pretty soon he'll be in a Uwe Boll movie.

He's hoping if he makes enough money he can search the planet and eventually find a type of food that Calista Flockhart will actually eat.

Sounds like wishful thinking. I love Harrison Ford! Nice try though, know-it-all.Popcorn happens to be one of my favorite foods in my mind while thinking about movie stars! Your misinterpretation clearly ignored that (if it thought of it at all!) I have no idea what you're talking about about popcorn. As for your rude response to me ("know-it-all") where do you get off calling perfect strangers names when you live in your parents' basement and have been breathing mold for years?
