To have actually been beaten in a dance-off Ronan would've had to accept Quill's challenge and compete, but instead he looked at Quill in confusion and annoyance. And this distraction by Quill let to Rocket and Drax blowing up his hammer and freeing the infinity gem whose power was aimed at him by the Guardians which actually beat him. Actual scene from the movie - So... summers8 , DC-Fan, thenewnexus ...Tell us all how Ronan was beat by a dance-off again?

They think it is some scrap of truth that they can cling to in order to validate their irrational criticism of a great movie.

They haven't actually watched the movie, that's why.

Maybe because of the overdose on Prep H they usually take. Wasn't GotG the MCU movie that would flop and critically damage the Marvel name? Anyway, all addictions are self-defeating, even if they help to ease the pain a little...

Those aren't people, those are trolls.
dcfan has been quiet since he got busted editing wiki to help his dumb Superman argument. He gave an (unverifiable) alibi for when that article was edited, but didn't respond when I told him it was edited 11:43 A.M. his time, 7:43 P.M. corresponds to wiki time (UTC 0).

It's just said to undermine the movie. They know he wasn't actually defeated because of them dancing.
I can see why maybe they'd have a problem with it being used as the build up for his defeat seeing as they'd built up as a pretty intimidating villain and then made him look a little humourous but then the movie is largely a comedy anyway so what do you expect.
I could have done without it and it would probably have been better suited to another lesser villain but it ain't a problem.

Could have done without that part in GotG but no biggie really . IMO, It broke all the tension for me and came across as a cheap attempt at humor . Keep in mind though, I still dig the film as a whole but that scene was lame as fuck. Here's hoping Star Lord doesn't try to get Thanos to dance in Infinity War lol

People want to put the movie down
They established the Kree aren't particularly humorous. Remember nothing flies over Drax's head.
How do you escape a mountain lion? Lying
Don't run. Don't act like prey. Make noise. Scream Wave your arms. Make it think you are going to get it.
Which apparently worked on Ronan By doing the unexpected, Peter caught the Accuser off guard.

Because there's no MCU equivalent to such silly things as tornadocide or the Martha scene or dancing Enchantress. So they play up this scene, misrepresent it so it seems silly, just to make them feel better.

The video is called starlord dance and he starts And yet it isn't the dancing that destroys Ronan, it's the Power Stone.

The video is called starlord dance and he starts good job shooting yourself in the foot So? It doesn't really matter what the title is, what's important is the content of the scene. Ronan wasn't beat by a dance-off, and the evidence is there in the video. Good job making yourself look like a (bigger) fool.

Here's hoping Star Lord doesn't try to get Thanos to dance in Infinity War lol It fit Peter's character and worked given what he knew about Ronan and the Kree race. Plus, Quill isn't exactly shown to be one for speeches so he couldn't use words to distract Ronan alone.

Because it's true. It's damn true. How then since the content of the video disproves such a claim.

Those aren't people, those are trolls. dcfan has been quiet since he got busted editing wiki Nope, I didn't get busted editing Wiki or anything else. On the contrary, it's already been established that I didn't edit that page. Moreover, this isn't the 1st time that you MCU fans have wrongly accused me. A couple months ago you MCU fans wrongly accused me of deleting a post. Even when I told you MCU fans that I didn't delete the post, you MCU fans continued to wrongly accuse me, until our honorable Moderator scabab set the record straight and confirmed that he was the 1 who deleted my post and I didn't delete it.
So given the fact that you MCU fans have a history of attacking me for no reason at all and wrongly accusing me, you MCU fans have no credibility at all. Moreover, you MCU fans don't even have enough grace to apologize for wrongly accusing me of deleting that post after scabab confirmed that he deleted the post and I didn't delete it.

I could have done without it and it would probably have been better suited to another lesser villain but it ain't a problem. Ronan being defeated by a Dance-Off is the lamest way that a villain has ever been defeated in a CBM. And if you don't see why that's a problem, I'll explain it. The equivalent of Ronan the Big Bad Destroyer being defeated by a Dance-Off in GotG would be if the T-1000 in Terminator 2 was defeated by John Connor and Sarah Connor and the Arnold Terminator suddenly breaking into a song-and-dance routine. That's how awful the Dance-Off defeat in GotG was! Ronan is supposed to be the Big Bad Destroyer of planets. Yet he gets defeated by a silly Dance-Off. That was really lame! Because there's no MCU equivalent to such silly things as tornadocide or the Martha scene or dancing Enchantress. So they play up this scene, misrepresent it so it seems silly, just to make them feel better. Actually, you mean there's no DCEU equivalent to Ronan the Big Bad Destroyer of planets being defeated by a silly Dance-Off, which is the lamest way that a villain has ever been defeated in a CBM.

that scene was lame as fuck. Here's hoping Star Lord doesn't try to get Thanos to dance in Infinity War lol Well, since his right-hand man Ronan the Big Bad Destroyer was defeated by a Dance-Off, Thanos has probably been practicing his dance moves so that they can't beat him with a Dance-Off like they beat Ronan. But they'll probably beat Thanos with another lame gimmick, like a Rock-Paper-Scissors showdown.
