Thats not official Deb you scally wag, well ok Amaya is and damn that's bitter sweet I love her but I hate Nate...dammit.
As for Darvill well in 3 years they have failed to do anything good with him except Karaoke so don't get your hopes up Darvill will be inclined to believe Guggenheim praise of something being cool, most of the premises of the show are cool they are just handled so piss poor and shit shoddily it turns to kaka before our eyes, I mean Barry Obama and they killed that joke dead in seconds, same with the Nate's high again, only consistently funny stuff is Mick & Constantine and that's because their not in it that much therefor less chance of these chimps chumping it up like champs.

Yeah, lot of cool ideas but poor execution. Which makes these some of the most frustrating shows of all time.

Well, okay. Maybe Rip might not be official but it sounds like he is going to be back at some point and I bet he returns whether it is next season or the season after that and it just shows they aren't getting rid of them permanently like they claimed they were going to. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to bring Amaya back full time without destroying the timeline and they might clone her so there are two Amaya's and the other one will go back to the past. I didn't mind Amaya but I would have preferred to have seen the other Vixen in the show 'cause she is more like the comic book version and has more powers and I don't understand why Amaya doesn't have the same powers as Mari and why she can't fly.

Because reasons. I doubt there is an actual reason other than that's what the writers want.

Knock me over with a feather; I'm shocked....
😐
I could see old Amaya getting mixed up with the "legends" and something making her young again. That would be a plausible cheat to let her needed history unfold, but still put her back on the Waverider in fighting form. For some reason I like her better than the other Vixen introduced in the animated series and Arrow. Nate needs be blown out an airlock and fall into a black hole, never to be seen or heard from again.
The ambiguity and lack of real stakes (or body) in Rip's "final" scene, made it clear the door was open to his return. I prefer the idea of bringing in the Rip from some other Earth, who is actually competent and everything the character should be from the comics.

Real world reasons, animation is just as cheap to make a character fly as it is to walk, maybe even cheaper as you don't need to animate walking and instead a still shot with a moving background works for flight, in live action it cost more so instead they keep her grounded.
In show it makes no fucking sense, shouldn't Amaya who should be more tapped into her power/heritage being she was raised in it/for it as opposed to Mari who wasn't iirc, it could have worked better if they simply made Amaya the ancestor of Mari but who only just got her totem so that's why she's less disciplined, then again I haven't seen Vixen so Mari maybe just as new to the totem herself in which case fuck knows, but having Amaya supposedly be a well versed hero only to then make her at times as big a dunce as the others is stupid, Nate being a dumb fuck makes sense he's still essentially a rookie and doesn't know/appreciate the world or stakes around him, he's still an annoying douche but it makes sense, Amaya however it doesn't it just looks like the Legends & Nate have eaten away at her sense and good judgement.

What do you know, another person that hates Nate. I can't fucking stand him either. He is the most annoying character on any of these shows apart from Felicity and I wish somebody would kick him out of the Waverider so he got stranded in space with no air to breathe. I cheered so hard when Ray turned on him last week.

I think you are right but I never understood why flying cost so much to have in a TV show 'cause I thought it was just an actor on a string in front of a green screen and they added the rest of it on a computer. I thought having a demon like they did with Mallus in his demon form would cost a lot more but we are going to see more of them next season. They had Firestorm fly a few times on the show so I think they could afford to have Amaya fly if they wanted to but I think it comes down to two things which is them not wanting to have 2 flying characters at the time and them not wanting the superheroes to be too powerful. We have a very powerful group of people on the team now as Hardball pointed out on a post but most of the time it doesn't feel like they are anywhere near as powerful as they should be and weeks come and go where they change powers and one week they are more powerful than they were before and the next they are back to not being very powerful. I think it is done to prop up the villain and make them look more like a threat 'cause if they had the Legends at their best they would look incompetent for not being able to defeat certain villains easier. No. It doesn't make sense that Amaya isn't more tapped into the powers than Mari but maybe at the same time they want Mari to look like the bigger hero.

It's not so much about not wanting more than 1 character flying as they often showed Ray & Jax flying same in the crossovers they have no issue with 4 or more characters able to fly, it's just that they only have 1 super strength character outside of Vixen so why not focus on that?
Also every other flying character has other CG requiring abilities whilst they fly, so they have to use that for them a lot anyway, where s Amaya needs only 1 2nd of CG when she channels a new animal, Ray & Jax needed to simulate their light & heat blast as well as their propulsion methods, Supergirl uses it for her speed, heat vision, artic breathe & what not, also just how useful is Vixen's flight ability? surely she cant fly faster than Ray or Jax could she cant do anything whilst flying that's cool so it's again a why bother thing on LOT imo, where as in the Vixen show it's about her so I get the RW reason why they do it there but not on LOT.
Imo they should have just given Amaya an excuse like she's afraid of heights that's why she chooses not to use that ability, it would make for a fun one off episode to show she can do it she just chooses not to sort of thing and it appeases us nit picky little shits, well sort of we'll still point out how it makes no sense but I would give them a golf clap for the attempt atleast.

Yeah. I agree. They should have given Amaya an excuse for why she can’t fly ‘cause it looks weird her granddaughter has the ability to fly and she doesn’t especially when she should be more tapped into her power and heritage as you pointed out above. With both Jaxx and Stein gone from ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ and it looking unlikely there will be another Firestorm I wonder if they will change that now and make it that Amaya can fly since she is going to be back next season. I am not sure how she can return to the show without them upsetting the timeline but perhaps they will bring in a different version of her that has the abilities her granddaughter has. I thought the writers were going to have Heatwave take Firestorm’s spot with the fire power when they had powers at the end of the season but they gave them up so they might have another person with fire powers in the future.

That was so stupid to have Mick give up the fire totem. When they had him use it I thought, finally! I wanted to see some excuse to make his... Abilities? Contribution? Be sort of an internal power than carry around some device; and this made perfect sense. And then they tossed it aside for no reason...
Mick finding himself a legitimate totem bearer would have been a great way to delve into his character and flesh him out more.

Mick finding himself a legitimate totem bearer would have been a great way to delve into his character and flesh him out more. It was a bad call for sure – one of many they made in the latest season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ but possibly the worst and I feel having it would have benefited Mick/ Heatwave as a character while at the same time give him more of a purpose as a hero. I think Mick could have replaced Firestorm in terms of fire powers if they had let him keep the fire totem but perhaps the writers have other plans for him next season or they didn’t want the team having too many powers. I am left wondering what their plans would have been for Firestorm next season if Victor Garber hadn’t left to go back to New York ‘cause they were hardly using him and Jaxx together as Firestorm as it was and I don’t think that would have changed ‘cause they didn’t want the team being too powerful.
While I am happy they are adding Constantine as a Season Regular I wish they had added another superhero too to even things out with Martin, Jaxx and Amaya no longer season regulars.

Still drawing a blank. Doesn't help that you pretty much described most characters on the CW.

That was the 'Steel' movie and boy that was dreadful. People who complain about how bad the DCEU films like 'Man of Steel', 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Suicide Squad' have been are should watch that before claiming they are the worst movies of all time 'cause they have nothing on that. I am still not even sure why 'Steel' got a movie.
