Besides, in between the greatness of GOF & HBP probably doesn't help for me personally. If anything, Prisoner of Azkaban feels like the least important book of the series because it has the least impact on the series on rereads and just feels like filler for the series because you already know Sirius is a good guy and who really betrayed Harry's parents. I think the movie being so good is why the book is popular with a lot of people, especially casual fans of the series who aren't diehard Potterheads. Order of the Phoenix has been more of a die hard fan's favorite. |

It’s been way too long since I’ve read these for any judgment of them all, but I remember liking The Goblet of Fire the best, I think. Definitely better than the movie, whose best element is by far Brendan Gleeson playing Long John Silver—I mean, Mad Eye Moody (even the tripartite names have the same number of syllables). I also remember liking The Prisoner of Azkaban.
