Before this thread got hijacked by casting barely talented actresses that we wanna bang, it started with news of DCEU hiring a director who has never directed anything remotely like this in her life. To be clear, not only has she never directed anything remotely like this in her life, she's only directed ONCE! ONE MOVIE! A low budget affair no one has ever seen. And 3 shorts. I've directed shorts. It aint that hard. None of this prepares her for whats in store for directing a major, big budget, action packed, fx laden movie like this. She may be immensely talented, maybe, but she's not right for this job at this point in her career. Rant over. It could be that they are hiring someone that doesn't have the name to be a diva so they can control her and the movie. Oh of course. But not just her. All of these directors that have only directed one or two movies mall movies that no one's ever heard of. Its producers thinking they can control them because they're not big names and as such can be controlled. For Marvel that works just fine since they have their formula down pat. Over at Star Wars Kennedy just fires them when they don't pan out. And at DCEU they just don't know what they're doing. It's insane. They should just let US make a movie.

So basically, similar to Patty Jenkins before she directed Wonder Woman. Not really, Jenkins' film "Monster" got serious attention though it was mostly for Charlize Theron's performance and although she didn't direct a feature film for the screen till Wonder Woman she did do plenty of mainstream television such as Entourage, Arrested Development, and The Killing. ^this^
