There may be those of you who really liked his work, and maybe you still like it, even after the controversy really got going, within recent years. However, Bill Cosby has had quite an accomplished career, up to that certain point. The Cosby Show and I Spy are my favorites of his work, even though I have not seen many episodes. It's shameful that Cosby has turned out to be a serial rapist, if the claims are true. By this point, I think there is substantial evidence to prove at least some of them, although correct me if this is wrong.
What has been happening lately with Bill Cosby? In fact, I have not been up to date on news about his controversy for several months, now. Could Cosby still be arrested for the crimes, or fined? It seems that he is effectively a pariah within Hollywood and the entire country, at the moment, how much rougher could things go for him?

I heard the court case was thrown out. I could be wrong, but I just heard it the other day. As for his work....I think a person's "work" should be kept separate from their personal life. But yes, I do, and always will like and respect his work, as well as Roman Polanski's, and Jerry Lee lewis's music, however, I'm not a great fan of Woody Allen's stuff....oh ya, and I also liked "Seventh Heaven" (the Tv series)...again with a controversial actor....and I love Michael Jackson's music but I think O.J. Simpson was a better football player than he was an actor.

I never much liked Cosby in the first place.
Fat Albert was stupid, even for kids. And it subliminally reinforced a lot of racist stereotypes.
Cosby's Professional Non-Threatening Non-Aggressive Black Man schtick often crossed over well into Uncle Tom territory.
Richard Pryor and then Eddie Murphy left Cosby far far in the dust when it came to funny comedy.
I'm one of the few Americans who can proudly say they never ever watched The Cosby Show. Not one minute.

I never did care for Cosby's work until the allegations surfaced.

I will never be able to forgive Bill Cosby, not because he is a rapist but because now we will never get Puddin Pops back.

I've heard all his stuff and never found him funny but comedy is kinda like music in that people have different tastes.

Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy owe their careers to Bill Cosby. "Funny comedy" is a redundancy. So, you think certain groups should be aggressive. 1. There were plenty of funny black people before Cosby. 2. There is plenty of unfunny "comedy." 3. Reassuring White America, "You've got nothing to worry about from me! Absolutely nothing!!" gets a little cloying after a while. And I say that as a middle-aged middle-class white male.

He does have a new theme song. It's to the same tune as the Fat Albert theme.
Hey hey hey I rape women And I'm gonna serve a drink to you Your genitals will hurt when I'm through You'll fall asleep soon and then I'm going to bang You'll be barely lucid while I do my thang Nah nah nah gonna have a good time Hey hey hey Nah nah nah gonna have a good time Hey hey hey

I'm still a fan.
Growing up, I used to play my parents' LPs of his story tellings. You know, albums like I Started Out As A Child, Wonderfulness, Why Is There Air? and many others.
Truth be told, I think I played them more than they did!
I am a fan of Fat Albert. I used to watch it in real time on Saturday afternoon -- after our Beaver meeting (Beaver = one step below Boy Scouts). Before it went off the air, Teletoon Retro in Canada aired the Fat Albert Christmas Special, which is one of my favourites that I would play over and over again.
I wasn't really a fan of The Cosby Show. Perhaps it was because it aired on a night that I was out. Can't remember.
