Has anyone here seen Dead Heat from 1988? I'm trying to seek it out online and wondering if it will be worth the effort.

It's been a long time since I've seen Dead Heat, but from what I remember it was pretty good. It was a unique concept at the time; a mixture of the buddy-cop comedy and horror genres. You might like it.

I finally watched it a while back. I cannot remember loving it but I was amused and admired that it was different.
Interesting back story on it. Joe Dante was responsible for getting people like Vincent Price involved.
It was unusually dark-gruesome for a comedy (i.e. the dog killing chamber, the Chinese restaurant scene)
What I remember best were those cool backyard swimming pools shown in one scene. Man, if I lived in that area I would want one of those rectangular single person pools!
