What is the “Solway Firth Spaceman” that appeared in a photo taken in May of 1964?
From Behind?... I don't think so. I see a "front" on the head... and if that is a necklace, it wouldn't hang down her back like that.
I have to admit.... That the torso of the figure could be the front of Annie's body... But... The head doesn't look 'natural' to me. It looks like a helmet.
If it is Annie, then Why is her face so dark, and her hair so light?
OK, so maybe it really is just a bad photograph of Annie, and it is all distorted creating a weird optical illusion, and we really do see her from behind, and that dark face is just her dark hair... But I still don't understand, Why is the top of her head is so bright?
But if is NOT Annie, then what or who, is the mysterious figure?
I'm not sure what to believe.

The wife, here is take (picture first and explanation under): First, there is the elbow, shown in green. Look how the part above the arrow seems bigger than the part under. That arm really looks like a bent right arm seen from the back. Second, in red, you see the lines that split the sleeves from the torso of the piece of clothing. Third, the triangle in purple, does seem like a kind scarf coming out back and slightly over the shoulders. As for the head, since the arm indicates the person is seen from the back, we see the hair and the white part is either a small hat or the reflection of the light on the top part of what these ladies wear on their head (not sure about the name): The only mysterious thing in that story is that apparently men in black showed up to investigate.
