Anybody watch the first two episodes yesterday?
I watched the pilot. I understand what they’re going for, but it’s still so cringey. But I’ve heard that it will get darker as the season goes on. You can definitely tell something’s up.

I've been seeing this on Netflix and wondered what it was about. It just looks so bizarre, and I don't know what to make of it.

It's fine.
I already have an idea of what's going on and the creepy bits are well done imo..
They are just very brief and the whackiness is too forced.
The second episode is actually pretty good at balancing it, but episode one felt like padding.

I like it so far. This reminds me of those videos that Adult Swim used to make like the “Too many Cooks” one where it started out as a parody of an old sitcom, but there was actually something really sinister going on.
Also is this just a miniseries or is there gonna be more than one season?

Also is this just a miniseries or is there gonna be more than one season? It's listed as a miniseries on many websites. That makes sense. I mean, Vision died in the movies. The character we see here is probably some kind of hallucination. I can't imagine this concept lasting beyond 1 season. Especially since Wanda is meant to appear in more movies.

Wanda and Vision are easily my two least favorite "Avengers" so no, haven't watched.

I watched the first episode and didn't like it at all so I won't be watching any more. It has a ridiculously high score on imdb probably due to Marvel fanboys. There are three things that get high votes due to rabid fans: anything by Christopher Nolan; anything with Bryan Cranston; most things Marvel. It makes me mad so I downvote just to make things more even.

I’m a Marvel fan but I don’t care about supporting their streaming shows. This one does look intriguing though so I’ll probably watch it at some point when COVID is over and I can get over to use someone else’s account. No big rush though.

I've been watching it. I've been looking forward to it since Wanda/Scarlet Witch and Vision are two of my favorite Avengers characters all-time and the story seems at least partially based on a fairly momentous story from the comics. The homage to classic sitcoms has been spot-on, and fun in its own right, and I'm looking forward to the switch to more dramatic events that will come.

Episode 3 was pretty bad. There's not enough substance. And it's not funny. Or clever.
This episode was 25 minutes and 45 seconds long. The first episode was 23 minutes long. Why?
I didn't enjoy this last episode and that's a problem. What's my motivation?

I'm E4. When the characters watch the "sitcom" for the first time, they recognize Vision. How is that possible, if he's in his human disguise?

They released a trailer for the second half of a mini-series that's not even 10 episodes long? Why?

I just finished. It was great! I admit I wasn't very invested in the title characters' romance in the movies, but this miniseries really got the best out of it! Elizabeth and Paul did a great job during the sitcom scenes. They showcased the different acting styles that were popular over the decades (sometimes they even made an impression of a specific actor). However, for some reason, they were less good (though not bad) during the real world scenes. There are a lot of genre shows/films where the comic relief bring everything down, so I've gotten used to feeling relief whenever a character like this (in this case, Jimmy Woo) contributes a lot to the plot, especially if they have badass moments. Debra Jo Rupp didn't appear in a lot of episodes and her character wasn't that important. Why was she listed as a regular? And why did she get top billing over a lot of other actors? She's famous, but not the kind of mega-star that doesn't allow for a measly guest starring credit. Just when we thought the M.C.U. was done with the disappointing baddies... Sigh... I mean, Director Hayward was so generic he didn't seem to have any real motivation. He seemed evil just because. And despite building up the conflict with White Vision, it was all solved in a few minutes. Speaking of, I expected the conflict to be between him and Wanda, not Red Vision. Think about it. You're in denial due to your soulmate's death and then you have to fight against his walking dead body? That would've given the situation more dramatic weight! Well, at least Agatha/Agnes was a more worthy adversary, even if she didn't leave an impression on the same level as some of the films' villains.
Evan Peters wasn't really playing Pietro/Quicksilver after all, so casting him was just a way to play with audiences' expectations of a multiverse crossover with the X-MEN series. So, if/when those characters join this universe, they'll be played by different actors. Fine by me.
