It's been 8 years from the Chitauri invasion to the events of SMH. There's hasn't been another alien attack. Thanos has done nothing but sit in his chair for 8 years and Thanos' right-hand guy Ronan was defeted by a silly Dance-Off far far away from Earth. As for rogue robot attacks, there's only been 1 in 8 years and that was caused by the Avengers.

No, Zod is an independent person who existed long before Kal-El was born. Ultron wouldn't have existed if the Avengers hadn't created him ad Ultron is a piece of software code that Tony Stark wrote.
