Another dubious red card against Freiburg thanks to a VAR interference, Mr Zwayer involved again, this time as the VAR.
VAR has a lot to be improved upon, that much is sure after 10 matchdays. It's completely unclear under what circumstances VAR should or shouldn't interfere, the rules set out when the project started (interference only if there's a clear misjudgement by the field ref) are completely ignored currently. VAR interference seems to occur arbitrarily, depending on whether either VAR or the field ref thinks it's appropriate. There are not less but more discussions now, and I don't believe there are fewer questionable decisions.
Anyway, final results and table:
One matchday and Hoffenheim is out of the top 4 and down to 7th. It's all awfully close up there.
