A decade ago I would have said the same thing about Ironman. But now Batman can't match Ironman in terms of movie draw power. Thor started off with a slow pace but seems to be catching steam. Batman might be able to catch him but as of now we have nothing to base that on.
^ I'm not a big Batfan but that seems like a myopic misconception.
RDJ-IronMan may currently beat Batfleck, but as a character Batman wipes the floor with IM.
Batman is more than the sum of his parts, he is an all time top 10 iconic character and cultural icon together with Joker. He is successful comics books, video games (galore) cartoons and T shirts. He oscillates between Lego Batman and goofy 60s Batmen to Nolan, DCEU and Miller Batman. A cultural icon since decades.
IM is just MCU RDJ-IM and maybe some old 3rd row materials. Let's put that to the test when RDJ quits playing IM, or if IM goes the way of the Jack Sparrow, shall we?
