It's surprising given today's film environment but I'm glad they've laid off. Goonies in particular. I don't think a remake of that film would work in the 2010's. There was something special about the 1980's. Die Hard would be hard to remake too, everyone has cellphones. (unless the bad guys had some kind of jamming device).
