Eh, Batman's only advantage is that he's just had movies made longer and he's easy to write. Plus, to make up for him being somewhat boring, he was given colorful enemies. That way the stories can be more about his villains than him.

He is BY FAR the single most popular super hero of them all. Superman and Spiderman jockey from time to time for 2nd place, but EVERY list I've ever seen has ranked bats as first.
