I don't get all this "It's a flop" chanting at all (and I think there may be some agenda behind it I wasn't able to decrypt so far).

It may be that it didn't fulfil the expectations completely but it's not our job as cinephiles to look on that movie like Gordon Gekko! And there will be some more money (DVD and Bluray sells, TV placement sells) to go
By the way: I'm sure that the old "Blade Runner" was NOT a flop, too - if You consider all of the revivals this movie had in the mid 80ies - mid 90ies in cinema, video and TV!
And while we are at it - Valerian was definitely not a flop either:
