Well it can be done in a serious way as well, take Civil War for example. But setting it in a world that doesn't feel real any way just doesn't play. And I don't mean it has to feel like real life as we know it on Earth. Asgard feels real. But when it doesn't feel realistic, I'm out. Yeah, but that's the thing. Marvel Studios applies the right balance of serious and camp to avoid taking people out of the picture, unlike the DCEU. Plus, they'd earned Civil War by the time they did it. The DCEU really hasn't earned any of the things its trying to do so soon. Agreed and agreed
I love real humor in films when it feels like somebody would say it, or a ball bouncing off a window and hitting somebody in the head would happen.
