In a way, yes. I mean if a highly disproportionate number of women show up to WW or Capt Marvel than do for any other comic book film, then you have to factor that in. And the same thing with Black Panther if a significantly larger number of aftrican americans turn out.
To be clear, if you look at WW's domestic vs international box office, she's the only one with a higher domestic total. The reason for this is because the woman factor plays stronger in America than it does elsewhere. So yes, it's an 800 million movie, and that's fine, but in terms of how it was received as a just a comic movie, without the social factor drawing in additional women, it's really more of a 700 film. And that's also fine.
