The Political posts most of which are mindless trolling now far outnumber actual movie and TV posts. Politics is divisive and as most people argue subjectively, things get heated and as they do genuine members lose respect for the site and either leave or just start posting anything they like themselves.
There is also absolutely zero moderation here, hate speech and blatant trolling prevail and if the site itself doesn't go down because of that the Service Provider will decide that they do not want to be associated with this mess of a forum and shut it down.
I have gone through the boards and noticed in early Feb there were more genuine posts, more Film and TV discussion that has almost faded away completely now.
It's also rather sad that the Admin and the Mods find it acceptable that people should have to put up with abuse and trolling. That attitude is what led to IMDb shutting down their forums.
Ah that old chestnut "hate speech". something that's used far too often for censorship and i suspect that's one of the excuses that was used to shut the original IMDB boards down. many people on there were quite rightly pointing out the obvious LGBT agenda through film and tv at the moment and that's one thing the powers that be use to crack down on free speech.
And the owners of Amazon as far as i can see are part of this elite who don't like free speech. the worst thing this site can do is have over moderation like some sites. I've been called various names over on IMDB but it didn't bother me at all. as long as people aren't threatening violence or slandering people free speech should be allowed.
and give this site a chance ...it's only just opened.
