Had not heard of this one--I'd like to look it up. There's another one from some years back starring Ian Holm that a friend on IMDb recommended very highly. I don't recall the title, but I'll look it up.

I really found TTSS to be sui generis though; there's never been another 'spy' show quite like it. Even the wholly admirable Smiley's People, while exceedingly good in its way, didn't quite catch me the way the first series did. Probably in no small measure due to a cast that would be impossible to replicate today.
