Justice League Unlimited is the best incarnation of a Braniac 5 that Kara shares a relationship with. So I'm not opposed to this romantic coupling, however the writing doesn't support the relationships potential. Already Kara is different from her comic book counter-part, she's more Clark Kent than she is Kara Zor-El. Despite past changes it could still work, but considering the relationships that have already taken place on this show, I doubt it'll be any better. For the curious:
