They say this - "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." They couldn't be more correct. Russel Westbrook is stats accumulator and that was what he was last season. You see there are two offensive players in his team right now and he is no where near what he was doing last season. His efficiency was no where near Harden last season and yet they robbed Harden (who got his team 3rd in strong western conference without a single superstar in his team) of his MVP. Russel Westbrook was failing miserably in clutch plays and in-spite of that kept taking shots in last minutes only to miss them. Harden was smarter all through last season. He played for team and not for fame. Same is the case this season as you could see he didn't took a last second shot against 76ers but let Gordon take the fame.
The fact of the matter is that Harden haters have false ideas about him. That he plays for himself. That's a lie. In fact his high number of assists says otherwise. Anyone who closely watches Rockets games knows that Harden is not a selfish player. He is always looking to be creative and help his teammates. Gordon and Anderson were ordinary players in NOP. But they became good because Harden made them good. Now Harden haters try to say that Houston is having success because of 3 point shooters. That's not the case. Harden runs the offense so well and that's why Rockets has a good offense. Harden recently produced a phenomenal performance which no one ever has matched apart from Wilt. He produced 56 points on 25 shots and contributed 91 points to his team. Only harden (last season ) and Wilt have had such performances before. I am pretty sure people will once again Slander Harden because of his so called poor defense ignoring all the while that he makes up for his average defense by being so out of world good in his offense. I am sure they will again cheat him and give the award to Durant or Curry or someone.
