It’s an old joke, sure, but still very relevant.
Most recent example: Monica Crowley. She was on Hannity’s hate-talk show yesterday and called her sudden departure as so-called Pres. Trump’s National Security Spokesperson “a despicable, straight-up political hit job, OK?" She had been forced to resign after Politico and CNN exposed many instances of plagiarism in her Ph.D. thesis, her new book, and newspaper columns.
Crowley unleashed this whopper: “"It's been debunked, my editor has completely supported me and backed me up."
Nothing has been debunked and her book, "What the (Bleep) Just Happened?", is no longer being offered for sale," publisher HarperCollins said in January.
Hannity, a person who has made a good living for about 30 years by lying, naturally allowed all this to go by without a challenge.
