Anyway societies seeking to preserve themselves is generally not considered a good excuse. The kinda society the white people in The Help have was pretty much destroyed by giving equal rights to black citizens. Yet we don't consider Bryce Dallas Howard's character justified in trying to prevent that.
And I think very few humans would.
Quite possibly - never claimed my view wasn't weird, it just seems more consistent to me.
