He was on radio talking about it earlier. Not sure what can be done about it though? Either change the game radically by taking headers out of it? Or accept it is an occupational hazard? Only other option would be lighter balls. I think the balls are already way lighter than they once were. I can imagine back in 66 the balls on a wet soggy day were like the equivalent of heading a basketball or something. Or maybe not quite as bad as a basketball, but just by looking at those balls they look like beasts! So not surprised they were getting brain trauma. Instinctively, I think the balls today wouldn't be anywhere near as a big a deal for adults to head, unless you were constantly heading with the top of your head which is gonna be a bit sore for a few seconds, and is not how you should be routinely heading. But not something I've really looked into... I would go with the data on this, but there probably isn't any.
