Fair. It has hurt both the characters. I said Michonne because Rick will always be an important part of the show, and Michonne will just be a side kick to Rick.
True. However, she is still one of the most formidable characters on the show and this season Rick seems to defer to her more than he ever has anyone. Two things make it hard to get on board with their romance.
Firstly. It has weakened both of them as we pointed out.
Second as you also pointed out, it didn't seem to happen organically. It felt like they were suddenly just in the sack together. Almost as unexpected as Rick and Darrell suddenly making out. Okay that was a bit of an exaggeration but still.
