I think the point is that women were put in a position that their career would be compromised or that they'd face all kinds of threats from powerful people had they come out. Ofcourse from a moral standpoint we wish they did come out sooner but still it's a difficult spot to be in. As far as the innocent till proven guilty argument, we're not talking about criminal trials and how our legal system works. In most of these cases it's the court of public opinion. When one person comes out who's not that trustworthy and seems to have an agenda or a lot to gain by it, then it's fair to question the legitimacy of the claim. But when multiple people start to come out telling the same story, I"m sorry but I'm not going to give the celebrity the benefit of the doubt. There's a lot of people that do bad things but can't be prosecuted for, but that doesn't mean they're these innocent flowers that deserve the benefit of the doubt. I don't need physical evidence in a court of law to call a slimeball a slimeball
