The reviewers who are praising the show are saying profoundly good things about it. A TV show about the Punisher wouldn't have accomplished its goal if it clicked with everyone. The Punisher should polarize people. Punishment is what lies in the space between justice and revenge. "Honestly, the worst aspect of “The Punisher” is that there’s not too much to say about it. It’s competently made, decently written, but never pushes any boundaries or challenges any big ideas. For a show which seemed, given the timing of its launch, to be so controversial, its most controversial element is its lack of controversy."I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. I wanted this show to push violence to the max level. I want this series to explore the dark side of humanity, to go where were most comic book shows or even films won't go.
