These are restaurants that are missing in New Jersey only. Denny's, for example, is widespread elsewhere. They are all over the upper midwest and the American west and southwest.
When I was in the military back about '68, a group of us used to go to a local Lum's in Indianapolis. They served great burgers and large beers in ice cream soda glasses. That chain is now out of business with most of its sites closed by the early 1980s. Too bad.
