a great reuben sandwich is tough to find on the west coast

When I lived in Los Angeles, people used to swear to me up and down that Jerry's Famous Deli was as good as anything you can find on the east coast when it comes to quality jewish deli. Those people are just wrong. Jerry's is a fine facsimile but it's not just the same. East coast jewish deli shits on west coast jewish deli. The sushi and mexican food, however, are second to none. Every time I'm on the west coast I go to town on that stuff.
