They aren't going for anything. It's just poor writing. He was all over the place from episode to episode, Finn Jones's performance suffered because he couldn't make heads or tails of that character. Someone who trained for years with monks shouldn't be an obnoxious brat. Fish out of water, sure. Total flake, ok. Not a petulant brat. Actually think they are going for that, but I'll agree that fish out of water and total flake are cool. I think the petulant brat part is more out of frustration and not really supposed to be petulant brat, but I do see where you're going. It's just not irredeemable IMO. I think they can wrap up an arc where it fits right into that. Oh I agree he isn't a lost cause. I enjoyed him much more as part of an ensemble in Defenders. Hopefully they can build on that development and he'll be more capable as a character of carrying his own show next time.
