idk... it depends on what my mood is and how I feel - if my agida is acting up I eat less agida inducing toppings.
I usually prefer my hot dog to be one from either nathans or boars head -- but in the package where they are connected to each other. seriously, they taste better. in new york there are no such things as hot dog buns with poppyseeds on them so that is out. in some supermarkets, apparently hot dog buns don't exist but that is for another thread.
so when I cook my hotdog I really like to split it in half but not have it completely detach and then either fry it on a frying pan, flipping it so that you see it get a teensy bit burnt or in my George foreman.
so when the hot dog is done I put it on a bun usually with yellow mustard and sauerkraut if I have it at home.
I have not had it with a pickle wedge but that does look and sound tasty so I will try it since I adore pickles.
if cheese is to be on a hot dog the cheese must be MELTED!
I can no longer really eat mayo as it makes me crap like old faithful.
