Haley was the man as Rorshach! Played him a bit too tough without the mask perhaps. But he was awesome in that role! Gosh, I love this psychotic character, and his arc of becoming the most humane of them all. This film was really rich with psychological themes, very unusual for a CMB. Agreed. I loved the comic. Actually didn't like the movie that much at first, but it really grew on me with each viewing. Now it's one of my favorite CBMs. Snyder made a few mistakes, but he deserves a lot more credit for Watchmen. It's actually a beautifully shot film too. I really really wish he'd filmed MoS with same style. Also, in regard to Rorschach- what's fascinating about the character is that his arc is only highlighted by the actions of those around him. He actually doesn't change at all throughout the story, which usually doesn't work. But here, it's flawless. He's the perfect example of what to do with a "flat arc" character. Simply brilliant. |
