Adéla ještě nevečeřela , Dinner for Adele (1978) Zany, visually inventive, deliriously funny, nothing less from maverick madcap Czechoslovakian director Oldřich Lipský The surreal mystery-comedy is a wonderful satire a parody of pulp thrillers and the mystery genre, specifically lampooning, Nick Carter. Carter is a fictional dime novel private detective from the ever popular detective series which began in 1886. "America's most famous detective" is urgently summoned to Prague at the beginning of the 20th century to help solve the case of what he believes to be a missing person of importance. Michal Dočolomanský plays Nick Carter in a brilliant lead performance as the charismatic master detective he is supported by a standout cast of eccentric characters, the wonderful setting with a backdrop of Prague is a highlight. Creative gadgets are a feature, a wonderfully original comedy, a pulp detective mystery with a dash of light horror and a touch of sci-fi.... Highly Recommended Nick on the case...
